Welcome to Transport in Newhaven & Lewes District! This group is for public transport users in Newhaven, Peacehaven, Seaford, Cuckmere, Ringmer & Lewes areas. We cover Buses, Trains and Dieppe Ferry with up to date information, guidence and discussions.

Transport in Newhaven & Lewes District started with a simple idea: make local transport and information even more accessible. As a dedicated project, we focus on providing clear, accurate, and timely updates for your journeys and an outlet for your thoughts and experiences. We campaign as a user group for better transport services.

Issues recently have once again highlighted the serious situation Newhaven and the wider area faces as a result of increasing traffic, development and a general, casual and opposing attitude towards transport infrastructure.

Transport in Newhaven & Lewes District now considers our traffic situation, whatever the cause, now far beyond a 'Crisis'. We are now calling for this to be regarded and recognised as an 'Emergency'. This takes account of the impact on public transport users, businesses and essential road users and must be treated as such.

TiNLD will now work towards achieving this and further the suggetions to solve this serious issue.
