In our five years, Transport in Newhaven & Lewes District has acheved a great many things and including various transport and safety projects:

- Supporting a safer pedestrian crossing campaign on C7 between Robinson Road and A259.

- Initiated improvements and simplification of coaster route 12 & 14 and increase to Night bus services.

- Supported extension to route 23 to Peacehaven linking RSCH and Marina seven days a week.

- Brought about extra buses for Newhaven Valley including two extra 123's and full Sunday route 23.

- Been instrumental in retaining a school service for Seahaven Academy when school timetable changed.

Our aims?

There is still far more to do. Our current aims are to get:

- Increased route 123 to link all areas full time seven days a week

- An Upgrade and improvement to route 145, including Court Farm Road and Eastside extention

- An evening and weekend extention to Lewes Lynx route 127 & 128 (incl. Lewes Station)

- A full-time transport link between Lewes and Peacehaven

- A New full-time bus link along A27

- Every new development access to a full scheduled and daily bus service

 - A Rebuild of Newhaven Town Station (incorporating Newhaven Harbour)

- A Retiming of trains to meet at Newhaven Town Station
